Q: Can I purchase an ASI system direct?
A: Yes. ASI sells direct to the consumer to provide the best value to our customers.
Q: How do I Place My Order?
A: Once you’ve selected the model that best suits your needs, customization options should then be selected. These options include instrument selection and integration, monitor mounts, trays, caster upgrades, and more. Please refer to the Instrument Selection Guide for more information.
Q: How long will it take to receive my unit(s) once my order is placed?
A: ASI will make every effort to accommodate your schedule. Please let us know any extenuating circumstances you have. In general, Advanced Dental Units take 6 weeks to complete, plus three additional days for shipping. Please allow more shipping time for international orders.
Q: How do I select and configure my system?

ASI accepts major credit cards, checks, and wire transfers. While we do not offer financing directly, we work with a number of lending institutions including Bank of America, US Bank, and more.
Q: How will my system ship?
A: In most cases, your unit will ship via 3-Day Freight. International orders will vary.
Your unit will arrive in a cardboard container on a wooden pallet. It is designed for easy unpacking. Due to weight, ASI recommends a second person to help unpack.
Q: Can I ship my unit to an address other than my practice?
A: Yes. Please be sure someone will be present at the shipping address at the time of delivery. A signature will be required.
Q: How will I know when my unit has shipped or will arrive?
A: We will coordinate your unit’s shipping and arrival date with you. You will receive tracking information from the carrier once the unit has been picked up from our facility.
Installation, Maintenance and Service
Q: Who will install, maintain and service my unit?
A: If you are currently working with a technician, they should be able to install and service your unit. If you need a technician we recommend contacting Dental Fix Rx, a nationwide service provider. They are equipped to handle your installation, maintenance and service needs.
Q: How do I learn to use and maintain my system?
A: The daily and preventative maintenance information for your unit is located in your owner’s manual. ASI’s Technical Support webpage contains In-Service Videos to help guide you through setting up your delivery system (View SUPPORT page). You can also give us a call to schedule a Phone In-service and we’ll walk you through set up, basic function of your new system, and answer any questions you may have. Our customer support team is available Monday – Friday during standard business hours.
Q: What do I do if my unit malfunctions?
A: Many issues can be resolved by the operator without contacting a technician. Please refer to the Troubleshooting Guide in the front of ASI’s Parts & Accessories catalog or contact ASI’s Technical Support Team Mon – Fri, 8am – 4:30pm Mountain Standard Time. (View SUPPORT page)
Q: What is the Warranty for an ASI Delivery System?
A: ASI provides a five year limited parts warranty on major structural components including the chassis, arm mechanisms, casters and dental unit drive components including the control block and valves and primary electrical system components. A standard one year parts and labor limited warranty is provided on other components. Integrated electronic and pneumatic instruments are excluded from this warranty and are covered by their separate manufacturer warranties. All disposable, consumable and replaceable maintenance-type items including gaskets, diaphragms, O-rings, tubing and maintenance kit items are excluded from warranty. Any damage occurring from misuse, abuse or improper maintenance is excluded from warranty coverage. Please refer to ASI’s limited warranty for more information.
Advanced Dental Delivery System – AS’s higher version of dental delivery system that allows electronic instruments to be integrated into the dental unit in addition to the normal air handpiece connections. Integrated dental instruments work off the same foot control as the air handpieces in the dental unit.
Standard Dental Unit – Provides essential air dental handpiece connections but will allow some limited additional options to the dental unit.
Mobile or Portable Dental Units – These dental delivery systems are fully self-contained with internal suction system, oil-less air compressor and water supply. They just require and electrical outlet for operation and do not require connection to plumbing.
Side Dental Delivery System – Dental instruments are mounted so that they are accessible to the dentist’s preferred side. They can be mounted either on a cabinet or chair mounted dental unit or on a dental cart.
12 O’Clock Dental Delivery System – The dental instruments are mounted in the back of the operatory directly behind the patients head. The delivery system is either mounted on a dental cabinet or cart.
Rear Treatment Wall – This implies a 12 O’Clock dental delivery system included as an integral part of a complete treatment and storage system to serve the dental operatory. Usually includes partial cabinets, drawers and either arm mounted dental unit or cart based instrument delivery unit.
Ambidextrous Dental Delivery System – This type of dental unit provides the capability to deliver dental instrumentation for either a right or left handed operator.
Microscope Dental Chair – A specially designed dental stool for performing microscope type treatment. The operator chair includes specific adjustable arms for supporting the elbows or forearms with ergonomic backrest and seat.
